ATV/RTV Cattle Guard Custom Cattle Guard W/Closure Gate
Our Utility Vehicle Cattle Guards are built like no other in the industry. Designed for heavy duty use these guards are ideal for Farm and Ranch use as well as specialized uses.
*All cattle guards can be equipped with lockable steel swinging gates which open and close to either side allowing for any vehicle entering or exiting to access the guards lock. Cattle Guards can also be set up with custom Gates as well as electric power opening gates to prevent unauthorized access after hours. Please let us know at the time of ordering if swinging gates will be required.
Installation Options/ Preparations:
Good.......Above Ground W/Skirts: Cattle guards can be placed above ground with either the Box option or Front and Back Skirts built into the Cattle Guard. Road base will then need to be filled in against the cattle guard creating a ramp on both sides of the Cattle Guard. When using the Box option the cattle guard can be removed for easy cleanout.
Better.......Cattle Guard Installed flush to roads surface W/Box Option: When using Box Option we highly recommend digging out a few inches deeper than the depth of the Cattle Guard (12") and filling in with Gravel to allow water to be able penetrate and prevent it from standing under the guard. An area a few inches wider and longer than the outer dimensions of the Box will be to need dug out to allow the Box to be placed flush at the roads surface and then back filled after the Box has been set in place and leveled.
Best.........Cattle Guard with Concrete Foundation: We highly recommend this method over the above methods. Please keep in mind if this method is done it is best to call in a concrete contractor to do the forming and concrete work. If the Concrete Base is not done correctly, it can eventually crack or sink often times tilting to one side. When using a foundation it is not necessary to use the Skirts or Box options.
Ideal For:
Oil Leases
Hunting Leases
Ranches
Private Entry Guards
Limited Property Access Applications
Customize your Cattle Guard with these options:
Run Smooth Strips- Run smooth strips allow a vehicles tires to travel over the pipe runners for a smooth ride. 4 1/2" wide run smooth strips are just wide enough to support 1/2 to 1 Ton truck tires but prevent cattle from walking on it.
Swinging Gates- Two styles to choose from or built to your specifications
Box Option- The box option is highly recommended as it allows the Cattle Guard to be easily removed allowing debris that has fallen through the cattle guard to be removed.
Side Skirts- (Skirts are 3/16" Thick x 8"High Plate that is welded to the front and back width of the cattle guard allowing road base to be pushed against the guard to form a ramp. Without these plates the road base can not be pushed against the guard) Optional Front and Back Skirts are ideal for temporary roads where the cattle guard will be set directly on the ground and the road will be built to the cattle guards top surface. Cattle Guards with Skirts can also be used on any application where above ground installation is required. This type of installation does not allow a way to easily clean out debris from under the cattle guard.
Several Colors to choose from- Cattle Guards can be painted to match your companies color or match most existing fence colors. Popular Colors are Red, Yellow, Gray and Orange.
Swinging Gates & Lock Boxes:
Cattle Guard Gates are available in two styles (Standard Ranch Style Tubing Cattle Gate & Commercial Single Arm Entry Stops). Cattle Guard Entry Gates are ideal for keeping access to the property off limits to those without keys but allows the entrance to remain open during maintenance or servicing which saves time from crews having to constantly open and close gates to prevent cattle from escaping. All Commercial Cattle Guard Single Arm Entry Stops come standard with a built in lock box which prevents the gates lock (Pad-Lock not included) from being tampered with. Gates swing either direction allowing access to the gates lock from either side.
Special Application Cattle Guards:
Utility Cattle Guard: Built from heavy gauge 2" Pipe & 4" perimeter Channel. Our Utility Cattle Guard is ideal for Hunting Leases or any place where ATV's, Off The Road Utility Vehicles and light trucks need access to adjoining fenced property without having to dig for cattle guard installation and/or install fence post or gates. Our Utility Vehicle Cattle Guards sit directly on the ground and have built in wings allowing fences to be tied directly into the Cattle Guard without having to install additional fence post. Our ATV Cattle Guard can also be easily removed allowing fences to be tied back together. Rated At 4500lbs.
